VERSE 1
Lord have Mercy, we were younger than a damn thing/ever since we came along straining
cause we had pain, balling, when theyd hit us with the bad news, nother brother gone
something wrong and I can't move, tell me why so many have to die young, lie stiff and
wide eyed quiet when the lights come, flashing ambulances and police men, see them cause
their grieving, burning, dear I know you want to shed tears, anybody would when
youre looking at them dead kids, broken hearts of the poor mothers, babys gone
in the crazy storm are they gone love us, are they happy, wonder what theyre
feeling, do they miss me the way Im missing them cause its killing, every
piece of me just to think of these kids somewhere in the sun, dead before the barrel of a
gun.
HOOK
Let's see, let's see, what we can do to fight, for the things we know are right, let's
see, let's see, the light that we can shine, when we stop acting so blind, let's see.
VERSE 2
Lord have Mercy, wonder if we gonna see light, are we gonna give up fore we get up
setting things right, can we end the killing and the same death, of our own brothers can
we come up cause we ain't left, no thing honey ain't no other choices, either we realize
we need to change up or avoid this, whole thing and just keep on letting life go, by the
flash of a gun's crash and a rifles, banging but I guarantee you this fact, every
day we never change all we gonna gets hell, caving in around us till we end this,
holocaust of our own people cause its senseless, people, Im just trying to
tell you this today, everything has got to be corrected fore we get away, this
curse, so we can overcome this, people going way in high numbers.
