Rap Against Violence

Every day in our Central Florida neighborhoods there are over eight more victims of gun crime. Six out of ten homicides in Florida involve a firearm. These alarming stats resulted in the implementation of Operation Cease-Fire, a gun violence prevention program, that utilizes a partnership between the Office of State Attorney Norm Wolfinger, U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida, the Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms, Tobacco and Explosives, and local, state and federal law enforcement to pursue gun crimes in both state and federal court.

The goal of this contest is to increase public awareness about gun crime and the horrific effects it has on the lives of our citizens. We must change attitudes about gun crime by speaking out to put the guns down and end the violence.
